Our 15U Wolves and 15U Titans teams competed in the Volleyball Canada 15U Nationals in Edmonton in May 2019. We are pleased to report that the girls represented themselves and the club very well in all aspects.

Both teams competed in Division 2, the highest Division for Newfoundland teams.

All games were competitive and our players showed their skill and determination on the floor against teams from across the country.

The Wolves started off finishing first in their pool on Friday, second in their pool on Saturday, taking a set off the eventual champs, Celtique from Montreal, losing a tough match. In the Tier 1 quarter finals they lost a three set nail-biter against Titans Volleyball Club from Toronto 15-12. In the tournament the Wolves defeated teams from Manitoba (X 2), Alberta, and Saskatchewan. This was the highest level of volleyball that the girls have ever played, and they met the challenge!

The Titans fought hard in all their matches, finishing fourth in their pool on Friday. They played against teams from Saskatchewan, Alberta, and BC, pushing to a couple of close three setters. They improved through the tournament and their competitive spirit shone throughout their time in Edmonton.

Both of our teams enjoyed spectacular crowd support during all of their matches, from travelling family members, other clubs/teams, and a variety of ex-pat Newfoundlanders. We won't soon forget the atmosphere at Nationals 2019!
